AURA

Aura flows through the city of Turku in southern Finland as a river and mythical lifeline.
In the context of the European art project “cultural capital Turku 2011” I’m trying to detect traces of Finnish Mythology and its synapses in the network of European cultures and its mythological roots. I will condense them and give them artistic form.

In all mythologies it is the waters of the “original ocean” that are at the root of the belief about the beginning of life.

The Aura and its reverberations through the seasons reflect the mysticism of the city of Turku and traces of the beliefs of its inhabitants in the power of spirits and dark forces.
Light and darkness with therefore be preferred elements in my artistic work.
